At the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery, where I volunteer, they have a different exhibition for each of the summer months, June - September. The theme for the August is "Black and White". This is my entry. It is a woven piece. The black and white fabric has timepieces on it, so I titled it Fractured Time. The summer exhibitions are just for fun and the winners are chosen by peoples choice.

TaDa!!! This is my 1st quilt. Margaret Miller of the Dixie Quilt Guild taught a class on Kalideoscope quilts. It was a fun class. I was just going to make blocks and she coaxed me into making this. Mine is small, but I learned the process of making a quilt. I thought I would hate doing the binding, but it wasn't bad at all. Can't wait to show it to her at the Sept. meeting.

For someone who has recently gotten into quilting, I must say that I am VERY impressed with your new creations. That table runner is stunning. I've been working with fabric for 15 years and I'm still sticking with squares.
I really like the effect of that table runner. Nice one.
lovely pieces! The black and white piece is my fav on this post!
The table runner is fabulous! Great effect. And I love the kaleidoscope quilt!
The Fractured Time is wonderful - must have been tricky to piece. I did some optical ilusion pieces like that years ago, and they were very fiddly, but the finished effect was stunning.
Your black and white timepiece quilt is beautiful!
