Some quilt blocks

I am learning to do "some" quilting. Actually just making the blocks. I belong to a group in Utah,

called the Dixie Quilt Quild. They are having a block challenge each month. So I thought I would give it a try. I don't think I will ever make a big quilt, but maybe a purse sounds about my size.

I am more into fabric postcards and small art quilts, but like learning new things.

First one was using strips. Second was leaves or trees. The third was flying geese. They vote for

most creative, best interpretation and peoples choice. I got peoples choice on the flying geese.

Needless to say, I was thrilled.

Well, from what I can tell, I am not very good at blogging yet. The pictures are all in

out of order. Practice makes perfect.

Well done Doreen your blocks are wonderful.
The trick with uploading the photos is to upload them in reverse order.
The one you want at the top of the post is the one that you upload last--the one that goes on the bottom is the one you upload first.
Does that make sense.

The batiks make these blocks look so lovely. You can make them into bags if you like, but you'll be surprised how quickly they mount up and would make a lovely lap quilt!
