Basket class

Here are the students in the class.
They all did really well. I love it when
they finish their basket and are quite pleased with themselves. Two gals were done and had to leave so I took the picture early. But the others finished their baskets. The lady 2nd from the right, Joann, is a snowbird and she is a basketweaver and teacher. She likes to come just for the weaving company.

Happy New Year. These are some of the mountains
that surround where we live and that is how far the snow comes down.
Which is just fine with me. It is gone now and it was 64 degrees today. Yeah!! Had a free play day at the pottery studio, so I went and had a good time. Made 4 different items. Three bowls and one creative thing. Will post picture when they have been glazed.






This is my block to take to the January meeting. It is paper foundation technique. It was a little more work though. Next month is curves and circles. Yikes!

Basket classes

I will be teaching a basket weaving class in January. These are the four baskets they will make. I did a demo at the fall art festival and several people were interested in learning how to

weave a basket. So I need to get the patterns written and make sure I have all the supplies I will need. I think I should have had the classes in February or March.

Some quilt blocks

I am learning to do "some" quilting. Actually just making the blocks. I belong to a group in Utah,

called the Dixie Quilt Quild. They are having a block challenge each month. So I thought I would give it a try. I don't think I will ever make a big quilt, but maybe a purse sounds about my size.

I am more into fabric postcards and small art quilts, but like learning new things.

First one was using strips. Second was leaves or trees. The third was flying geese. They vote for

most creative, best interpretation and peoples choice. I got peoples choice on the flying geese.

Needless to say, I was thrilled.

Well, from what I can tell, I am not very good at blogging yet. The pictures are all in

out of order. Practice makes perfect.

I'm back

Well finally, I can upload a picture. This is a close up of a postcard that I did on the embellisher.

So now I will have to

get busy and upload some other pictures. Also have some things for give a ways.

Still can't upload pictures

This is my 2nd try just to post this message. I have been trying to upload pictures since July 28th. Reported to blogger twice, but have not heard an answer.

Totally fustrated

I have been trying to upload pictures for 6 days now. It won't let me. I don't know if it is me or them. So I am seeing if I can post a message.
